Governance

BRLF is governed by people who are committed to shaping a better society. Each of them is a highly respected individual in her/his respected field. At BRLF, both General Body and Executive Committee include representatives of central and state governments, veteran academicians, social activists, entrepreneurs, corporate honchos, public figures and philanthropists from various streams. They all are experienced, self-motivated and thoughtful to anticipate and pursue the vision and objectives of BRLF. BRLF also has a very active and supportive Executive Committee (EC). The members of the EC are elected by the General Body.

BRLF regularly organises Annual General Body meetings and Executive Committee meetings as per its rules and regulations. Formation of several specialist committees such as Finance & Audit Committee, Corpus Management Committee, Committee on Capacity Building, Resource Mobilisation Committee, Committee on De-notified Tribes and Nomadic Tribes(DNT-NT) and an HR Committee are the developments of regular AGMs and ECMs. The General Body of the Foundation has formed a Project and Grantee Selection Committee (PGSC) for ensuring that the most deserving and appropriate projects are selected for receiving funds from BRLF. All concerned State Governments are members of the Project and Grantee Selection Committee (PGSC).They have been closely involved in selection of the projects being funded by BRLF in their respective states through the PGSC.

Moreover, BRLF believes in full transparency and accountability. To accomplish this task, the organisation has developed a software (AID 360) with the technical support of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The software enables the stakeholders to monitor the progress of each project undertaken by BRLF. One can also access the annual reports of previous years, account details and other important credentials on its website.
